Christmas ornaments

Yesterday we made Christmas ornaments from scratch. It was alot of fun. I let the kids chose the cookie cutter design of their choice. They got to use paint brushes. Oh I am brave!

Jasper of course was too small so we made him a small star. He took a nap while we made them.
Hudson made a star. He was excited to tell his mom he wanted to put his & Jaspers ornaments on the big Christmas tree.
Piper chose a gingerbread man. She loved painting. She got very mad when I told her it was time to quit.
Dean did a Christmas tree.
Cooper painted a star. He was very anxious to paint. He kept saying "paint paint".

Tried to get all of them to look. HA!
All the kids thought that they were making cookies. They were talking about how they get to eat them. I had to explain that they go on the tree :) Great day!
Here's how you make homemade Christmas ornaments.
4 C flour
1 C salt
1 1/2 C hot water
Cookie cutters
decorations such as paint, glitter, or anything else.
Mix all together cut shape with cookie cutter. Cook in microwave 1 minute at a time up to 6 minutes or until dough is done.
Let cool then decorate
(I would make sure that you make the dough flat b/c some of it bubble up on me)
